Thermal Engineering Intern
About The Role
We are seeking a talented and motivated Thermal Engineering Intern to join our team. You will gain hands-on experience in spacecraft thermal design, analysis & thermal management while working on real-world projects that contribute to the development of innovative space systems.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform thermal analysis of rocket structures and propulsion systems using analytical and simulation tools.
 - Conduct heat transfer, fluid flow, and thermo-mechanical coupling studies to ensure structural integrity under extreme environments.
 - Collaborate with propulsion, structural, and systems engineering teams to integrate thermal requirements into overall rocket design.
 - Support the design and validation of thermal control hardware, including heat exchangers, cooling channels, and insulation materials.
 - Support ground testing and hot-fire engine tests with pre-test analysis and post-test data evaluation.
 - Document analysis and verification results in accordance with aerospace engineering standards.
 
Qualifications
- Perceiving Undergrad or Graduate in any Engineering field preferred in Aerospace Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or Thermal Sciences (or related field).
 - Foundation in heat transfer, thermodynamics, and fluid mechanics.
 - Familiarity with thermal/CFD analysis tools (e.g., ANSYS Fluent, OpenFOAM or equivalent).
 - Familiarity with CAD software (e.g., SolidWorks, CATIA, or NX) and mechanical design practices.
 - Foundation in rocket propulsion systems, combustion processes, and high-temperature materials is a plus.
 - Problem-solving skills, analytical thinking, and attention to detail.
